Celebrity hairstylist Cervando Maldonado recently cut and styled actress Kirsten Dunst's hair for the ELLE’s 6th Annual Women in Television Dinner on Wednesday, January 20th in Los Angeles, CA. “The inspiration for the cut is a chic, French bob, a la Nastassja Kinski in Paris, Texas," says Maldonado. "We’d discussed going shorter and felt it was the right time."

  1. “To debut this blunt cut I wanted to give the hair a more natural style," says Maldonado. "I began by combing Kerastase  Resistance Volumactive Mousse through the ends of damp hair. Then, after adding Oribe Curl by Definition Creme to the rest of the hair, I pinned it behind the ears and let it dry naturally for about half an hour.
  2. "Then, using a Hot Sock Diffuser on my blow-dryer (high heat/medium air strength), I lightly dried the hair until it was completely dry. Then, to create a natural-looking wave, I used my Harry Josh Curling Iron, loosely curling a few pieces around the face for movement and shape.
  3. "Then, I applied Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Shampoo to the hair to create texture and finished with a spritz of L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray to hold hair in place. The overall look was a modern, chic bob for the evening."
