Get the Look: Jessica Simpson's Boho Chic Waves

Jessica Simpson recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of Gleason with husband Eric Johnson, sporting a simple and chic, navy blue dress and long, cascading waves created by Macadamia Professional International Creative Director, Giannandrea. Jessica's carefree, boho waves - with just the right amount of "off-duty model texture" - perfectly straddle the line between casual and glam, making this a go-to look for summer.

Recreate Jessica's look for your clients with the how-to below!

Get the Look:

  1. Apply Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer from roots to ends of wet hair to create a voluminous base.
  2. Blow-dry hair with large Macadamia Professional 53mm Hot Curling Boar Brush in 6 large sections to create a voluminous blowout. Do not stretch the hair, just soft dry for added volume.
  3. Create a middle part and wrap small sections of hair around a 1” curling iron.
  4. Once all the hair is in waves, use a flat iron to gently flatten the waves especially towards the ends, keeping the softness and volume up top. There should be no roundness at the ends. This process is most important as it gives the waves more of a “boho” appeal.
  5. Spray Macadamia Professional Style Extend Dry Shampoo at the crown for a dry texture finish and use Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Dry Oil Micro Mist from the mid-lengths to ends to create definition and shine.
  6. Finish the look by spraying Macadamia Professional Tousled Texture Finishing Spray to the crown and through layers for light volume and texture.
