Paul Mitchell Schools Raise Money for Charity

1On May 3, Beauty Launchpad joined Paul Mitchell Schools at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills to celebrate fundraising for charity at the annual FunRaising Gala. The event, hosted by Winn Claybaugh and Pauley Perrette, raised a total of $1,769,150.64 (updated amount) for 11 amazing charities. Special celebrity guests Fran Drescher, Magic Johnson, Marie Osmond, Gary Sinise, Kathy Buckley and Leeza Gibbons joined John Paul DeJoria and the Paul Mitchell family to help raise awareness for for causes close to their hearts.

Paul Mitchell speakers and celebrity guests got emotional as they spoke about the wonderful work the charities are doing to help communities. Learn about what these charities are doing to make a difference in the world:

  • Started by Fran Drescher, a uterine cancer survivor, Cancer Schmancer is a non-profit that focuses on early cancer detection, prevention and policy change.  

 

  • Children's Miracle Network Hospitals support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

 


  • Food 4 Africa works with other organizations to supply children with at least one vitamin and mineral enriched meal for every day.

 

  • Gary Sinise Foundation, founded by actor Gary Sinise, honors defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in needs with programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen and build communities.



  • The Magic Johnson Foundation is an advocate for community-based organizations, educational empowerment through HIV/AIDS education/testing/awareness work, college preparation and digital literacy.

 

  • Morris Animal Foundation is a nonprofit organization that invests in science to advance animal health including breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatments, preventions and cures for animals.


  • No Limits offers educational programs to children who are deaf and hearing impaired.


  • The Thirst Project seeks to end the global water crisis through youth education and providing communities with access to safe, clean water.
