More than 40 of the beauty industry’s leading independent cosmetic companies have been selected as finalists in the 2015 Cosmetic Innovator of the Year (CITY) Awards established by the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) and now vie for top honors in the 11th annual recognition program, to be held during Cosmoprof North America.
“From cosmetics, fragrances and hair and body care to marketing, packaging and accessories, these companies are considered among the best for introducing and delivering new breakout products, packaging and advertising campaigns in the multibillion-dollar beauty industry,” said Pamela J. Busiek, President and CEO, ICMAD.
Finalists will be on display in the ICMAD booth at Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas. The winners will be announced in each of 14 categories the evening of July 13 during the CITY Awards ceremony at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Ballroom L.
Judging for the 2015 CITY Awards was led by an esteemed group of five industry-leading experts in the fields of beauty, design and marketing. The roster of judges consisted of: Rebecca Bartlett, Principal & Creative Director at Bartlett Brands; Dr. Brooke Carlson, Fashion Institute of Technology, School of Graduate Studies, Cosmetics and Fragrance Master's program; Maria Corbiscello, President, Studio MC2; Claudia Lucas, Executive Vice President of Business Development, Behrman Communications; and Paula Scandone, Vice President and E-Commerce Merchandise Manager of Beauty at HauteLook.
