Recently, Matrix Vice President and General Manager Paul Schiraldi announced the appointment of Laurie Lam to the position of Vice President of Marketing for the company. Lam is rejoining L’Oréal USA after a successful stint abroad, where she oversaw the L’Oréal Professionnel brand for the Asia-Pacific region, based in Paris, France. She will report directly to Schiraldi and will be responsible for the growth and development of the largest brand within the L’Oréal Professional Products Division.

Lam joined L’Oréal USA in July 2003 and held several marketing positions within the group. Most notably, she was the Marketing Director behind the L’Oréal centennial launch of INOA haircolor in 2010. During her time at L’Oréal France, she acted as a liaison for L’Oréal Professionnel and was responsible for the implementation of strategies across the Asian markets in her charge.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Albany and was a L’Oréal-sponsored graduate in the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Master of Professional Studies in Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing and Management program. Lam graduated with top distinction (valedictorian) and was appointed the program Alumni Chairperson. She is fluent in Chinese, proficient in both Spanish and French.

“Laurie’s passion for the salon industry, global knowledge base, strong work ethic and vibrant style position her for great success in this exciting new role,” says Schiraldi. “I’m confident that she will be a vital, creative and highly effective member of our Matrix family.”
