Master Hairstylist Jon Reyman, founder of Spoke & Weal and Jon Reyman Pro, headed backstage on Tuesday, October 20th to create the 10 different hair looks for the 2015 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund fashion show. Held at the world-famous Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund fashion show highlighted LA's top stylists, editors and influencers.
Reyman and his team of stylists created unique looks for each finalist, ranging from grungy 90s-inspired hair to French schoolgirl styles, to beach-textured waves. At Chromat, Reyman created a slick, gelled-back look, reminiscent of a girl fresh from the gym, while the look at CG by Chris Gelinas was all about luscious, ultra-shiny, extra-bouncy waves (created with plenty of Aveda Thickening Tonic and Control Force), topped off with jaunty berets to capture that French schoolgirl look. For a 90s minimal vibe at Baldwin, Reyman used Aveda Pure Abundance Style Prep to craft messy texture. For the men, Reyman created equally artistic looks - everything from copper and red spray-painted strands at Baha East to slicked-back styles at Cadet.
Though the beauty looks varied wildly for each collection, a strong sense of individuality united Reyman's styles throughout the day. Perhaps the most common theme of 2015 Fashion Week, from New York to Paris to LA, the unique beauty of the individual was showcase and celebrated.
