Joy Juice Provides Empowering Makeovers for Teens with Cancer

Androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness) is the most common cause of hair loss affecting up to 70% of men and 40% of women. It’s a pretty sensitive subject, yet one that should be addressed. Andrew Carruthers, Director of Education for Sam Villa, refers to balding spots as "light areas" when consulting guests on the right products, cut and tools to help make hair look thicker and fuller.

Sergiy Shapochka from Ukraine was named the Champion of the American Crew 2014-2015 All-Star Challenge, one of the top annual global competitions for men’s hair styling. The announcement was made on April 20, 2015 at the Fiera Roma Arena, in Rome, Italy.Sergiy’s look (above) was inspired by the movies of the ‘60s and ‘70s, including Rebel Without a Cause. “He is a character like James Dean and James Bond; the guy that is quiet, masculine and discreet, and speaks with his actions, not with his words,” said Sergiy.

Ryan Gosling stepped out on the set of the film The Big Short in New Orleans on Wednesday, April 15 sporting a new, darker 'do. Though the brunette shade and matching curls are reported to be for his role as a financial trader in the upcoming film, Gosling is pulling off the new look flawlessly. A somewhat dramatic departure from his signature, sandy blonde locks, the dark brown hue suits Gosling, making his famous baby blues stand out even more.[Image: Getty Images]

“Erratic growth patterns at the neckline can be intimidating, do you take the hairline up high and cut away the chaos or do you let it grow to cover the problem?” asks Andrew Carruthers, Director of Education for Sam Villa. The solution? Take a soft approach and turn to special tools used in specific ways to manage the growth and cultivate a natural looking groomed hairline.

Sure, he's an accomplished actor, singer, songwriter and director, nominated for numerous awards, taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Dallas Buyers Club last year, but in the beauty world, Jared Leto has recently become known (and admired) for his lustrous, flowing, perfectly ombré locks.
