For their Fall/Winter 2014 Collection, Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin, the designers behind TOME, were inspired by the extraordinarily moving oeuvre of Iranian artist Shirin Neshat and her personal interest in singer Oum Kalthoum. To complement TOME’s 2014 direction, Catwalk by TIGI Global Creative Director Nick Irwin created an “undone” free-flowing mane with slight waves complemented by an easy brushed back yet voluminous hairline.Get the Look:

Fashion Week Nails: Blue Skies by OPI at Lindsay Degen
OPI joined designer Lindsay Degen for the DEGEN Fall/Winter 2014 presentation at New York Fashion Week to create cute, fun manicures. Models wore short, squared tips featuring a blue sky/cloud nail design on all fingers except ring fingers, which were painted with a rainbow atop a chrome, glitter base. The designer selected this bold and colorful nail look to complement bright knits and reflective fabrics. NYFW Hair: Powerful Ponytails and Bold Bangs by Ted Gibson
For the Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2014 presentation at New York Fashion Week, stylist Ted Gibson created a look that complemented the designer's many inspirations including Istanbul, strong warrior women, the Renaissance and ninjas. Says Gibson, “Carmen was inspired by Istanbul and the whole idea of a strong woman, so I couldn’t do hair that was flat, romantic and pretty. I knew we had to do something really spectacular. So immediately I thought about ponytails, but had to do something fun and strong with it.

The TOME Runway at Fall/Winter New York Fashion Week 2014 was an array of pale pink, tomato-ted silks and plum merino wool contrasted with tweeds in varying shades of gray. Fur, silver and gold lame, and dark lace added dramatic flourishes to the oversize structured coats and finely tailored asymmetrical lines of stylish dresses.
