The mixture of precious materials and contrasting textures reflects the overall theme of effortless yet opulent style and beauty.” The color palette of the collection begins with camel colors and soft shades of pink similar to a ballerina slipper.

LOVE collection is unapologetically street-inspired with a sophisticated bohemian flair."To compliment this collection, stylist Jenny Balding created a hair look with a naturally disheveled, rocknroll, effortless feel. "This is a woman who wouldn't spend much time on her hair, but looks effortlessly sexy and disheveled. Enhancing natural beauty was key for this look."
The fall 2014 Ruffian Collection drew inspiration from medieval textiles and painting with the bold, innovative and flamboyant silhouettes of the Glam Rock movement. The collection combined these elements with the juxtaposition of Opulence and Street, Aristocratic and Pop, and Earnest and Outrages for an overall luxe, sophisticated and cool array of looks.

Redken Creative Consultant Guido used Redken products, including Control Addict 28 Extra High-Hold Hairspray, to create a firm, helmet-like shape around the head at Alexander Wang's Fall/Winter 2014 presentation at New York Fashion Week. To further amplify the artificial quality of the look, Guido coated the hair with Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist and had the makeup team color in the model's part. The head shape, rather than the ponytail, was the prominent style at Alexander Wang's show.
The hair look at the Helmut Lang, A/W 2014 show in New York was strict, sharp, simple and beautiful. Inspired by the abstract aerial prints of the lunar landscape that featured in the collection, stylist Eugene Souleiman took this space age theme and ran with it, creating a hair look that could take you from New York to the outer echelons of space. “I wanted to create a hair look that was technical and almost geological in feel, to complement the textures and patterns of the collection.
Backstage at the Delpozo runway show for New York Fashion Week, Pattie Yankee for Patricia Nail Lacquer and her team created a custom mirrored nail look. With the “lyrical abstraction” inspired collection, Pattie collaborated with the Delpozo design team to create a striking, yet simplistic nail. “We wanted the models to be able to see the gorgeous pieces they were wearing,” says Yankee, “with the mirrored nails, we were able to achieve that.”
