Fears over the potentially damaging effects of the proposed Gainful Employment legislation have spurred the US's leading provider of vocational education programs to set up a free webinar to spread the word and rally support against the plans.The webinar, hosted by Nuts and Bolts Training, takes place on November 12, 11 AM PST and will look at the likely fallout from the changes, intended as a way of ensuring federal funding for higher education is spent on programs that produce professionals capable of making a living in their chosen field.

Latino Fashion Week took place in Chicago recently on October 1-5, 2014, and a team of cosmetology students and instructors from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture got the chance to style the hair and makeup of the runway models.Student teams from Tricoci University’s Chicago Northeast and Northwest campuses worked alongside some of the beauty industry’s top salon professionals, as well as the fashion industry’s most talented Latino designers, to makeover the runway models with cutting-edge beauty looks.

Farouk Systems USA proudly announced their continued support of Lifetime’s Project Runway All Stars as the official hair care provider for season four, premiering October 30 at 9/8c. Fourteen of the most talented Project Runway designers from past seasons will compete for runway gold with guidance from mentor Zanna Roberts Rassi. The returning designers will be impressing host Alyssa Milano and judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman.

Alan Benfield Bush recently released his new Androgynous Collection with Cutoloring Hair Designs. "Cutoloring" is an innovative creative technique developed by Benfield Bush that allows the stylist to work with haircuts and hair color simultaneously. Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson recently styled Heather Graham's look for the HORNS premiere in New York City. For her red carpet look, Gibson gave Graham a sexy faux bob with a touch of old Hollywood glamour. Says Gibson, "Tonight I had the pleasure of working with #gibsongirl Heather Graham for her new movie HORNS. Heather has never worn her hair short before, so it took a bit of work to convince her to take the risk with this look. As you can see, she loved it and worked the red carpet!
