For the first time ever, renowned makeup artist Scott Barnes will be taking center stage as a keynote speaker at The Makeup Show Orlando and The Makeup Show Los Angeles. One of the most sought-after makeup artists in the industry, Barnes has worked on some of the most famous faces in the world, alongside world-renowned photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Scavullo, Gilles Bensimon, Tony Duran, Peter Lindbergh, Annie Leibovitz, Ruven Afanador, and Mark Seliger. His work has graced the covers of leading magazines including Allure, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and Marie Claire.
As he travels the world, Barnes is constantly inspired to look beyond the conventional methods of color, contour, light, and line. Author of the books About Face and Face To Face, Barnes is also the creator of his signature look featuring bronzed skin and pale lips, otherwise known as "The Glow."
"I see beauty in monochromatic pallets where everything looks seamless, almost like a watercolor painting. 'The Glow' was just a natural progression for me," says Barnes.
In this first-time keynote at both The Makeup Show Orlando and LA, Barnes will share his insight into working in the celebrity and editorial realms, offer expert advice on what artists can do to bring their makeup to an editorial level in ever application, and teach them to find their own footing and make a stand in this always-changing industry. Barnes will also demonstrate his signature style and skill that has positioned him as a celebrity artist.
