Taking inspiration from rock-and-roll legend Marilyn Manson, Redken Global Creative Director Guido achieved a dark, downtown look for the runway at Alexander Wang this season. Perry Ellis recently presented the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, presented by CHI Hair Care. From the day he launched his first line in 1976, Perry Ellis made fashion meaningful simply by not taking it so seriously. This year's themed collection, according to the company’s Creative Director Michael Maccari, is an Active Wear Trend, comprised of active silhouettes with active wear fabrics.

Salute the Runway fashion show, presented by Little Black Dress Wines and Fatigues to Fabulous, kicked off New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 by honoring America's veterans. Fourteen military servicewoman and veterans from around the country walked the runway in an effort to raise awareness and support for our women in uniform, and their transition to re-entering civilian life. Each servicewoman wore a different variation of the iconic little black dress.

Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a cool, 70’s-inspired hairstyle at the Coach presentation this season, playing up the retro-inspired collection. He used Guts 10 Root Targeted Volume Spray Foam and Wind Blown 05 Dry Finishing Spray to achieve the natural, "cool-girl" look. He finished the look with a mist of Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray to allow for movement as seen in the various looks at Coach.

Menswear designer David Hart took us to Palm Springs with his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. “The inspiration behind the prints is the natural landscape of Palm Springs,” said David. To complement the colorful, tailored clothes, lead hairstylist Kien Hoang created a relaxed yet polished look with lots of shine for the models. “When creating the hair, I imagined European guys on vacation,” said Kien. “They’re super stylish, and I wanted the hair to reflect that, but it’s not overly done. It’s relaxed and easy and quintessentially California.”

For Kaelen’s tropical-inspired Spring/Summer 2015 collection, hairstylist Amy Farid created a clean and innocent look from the 1970's, with a nod to hair icon Marcia Brady. “We wanted that freshly washed, really brushed hair,” explained Farid. “Like how Marcia Brady would brush her hair 100 times before bed.” Farid also made sure to keep the models’ hair tucked behind their ears. Before the presentation, the hair framing the model’s face would show off a natural bend around the cheekbone. Some models also wore a hair clip with fresh orchids on it.

At the recent DANNIJO Spring/Summer 2015 presentation at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, lead hairstylist Rodney Cutler for Cutler/Redken Salon was inspired by "the [designer's] passion and vision for this Spring/Summer collection and went about creating a hair look that would complement the amazing styling and theme of travel. Similar to the rustic yet picturesque staging of the presentation, the hair brought to life a natural, Mongolian tribal feel with a fishtail that journeyed on to a polished pony.”
