When designers are inspired by music, their whole collection can take on a song’s character. For Foxbait, Nine Inch Nails serves as major inspiration — the show’s beauty is rock ‘n’ roll chic. Makeup Lead, Sharon Gault, and her team match the models' lip color to the boots they will wear on the runway. These colors run the gamut from sunny yellow and moss-green to electric blue. “It’s a pop of color, bright lips and funky,” explains Shyann Swisher, Co-Beauty Director alongside Sharon. To get standout lips, Rosebud Salve and Vaseline blend over pure pigment color. On the eyes, NARS Trio Eyeshadow Arabian Nights reflects the blue hue of the lip. The look is definitely dramatic. The team applies shadow from the inner corner of the eye. It’s winged out all the way up to brows, and smoky at the bottom. Both Smashbox Smashing Cream Eyeliner and NARS Cream Eyeliner work into the drama. Lashes are chunky, messy and straight; the look is not supposed to be too pretty, hence the deliberate lack of curled lashes. L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara Original Black completes the eye makeup. To get skin hydrated enough for runway, the team applies Embryollisse Anti-Age Comfort Mask, finally setting the face with YSL Powder.

To keep up with beauty this dramatic, hair goes big. Foxbait Key Stylist for VoCe Haircare, Bong Buan, describes the style: “It’s spongy and cotton-like. It has the feel of old French Gothic.” To heighten hair texture, Bong creates small curls and braids throughout. The style is flat straight at the top and gets progressively bigger, coming out at the bottom; this fullness adds to the dynamic look. Bong uses VoCe Haircare Touch Me Hairspray, VoCe Haircare Volume Mist and VoCe Haircare Surf Mist to create hair fit for a Rockstar.
