Runway Report: Feminine Meets Masculine at Coach

Image courtesy of RedkenRedken global creative director, Guido, capitalized on both natural texture as well as the balance between masculine and feminine at Coach’s Pre-Fall 2017 show.

“We’ve got both male and female models walking the Coach 2017 pre-fall show. It’s a great cast of characters,” said Guido. “We’ve got a deep side part here that’s pinned with a feminine Coach bobby pin to give the look both a feminine and masculine twist. I used Beach Envy to prep and add texture to the hair. Then, once the hair [was] dry, I just smoothed the top a bit with a blowdryer and my fingers. I’ve then combed Triple Take 32 through the part with my fingertips to keep the hairline boyish and hold the look.”

Get the Look: Feminine Meets Masculine (above)

  1. Prep the hair by washing with Beach Envy Volume Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner to enhance natural texture.
  2. Allow hair to air dry.
  3. Using fingers, create a naturally messy side part.
  4. Blow-dry hair at the crown, using your fingers to smooth hair at the top and ensuring that the top portion of the hair is flattened to the head shape.
  5. Create a square hair line for a boyish look. Finish the top of the hair with Triple Take 32 Extreme High-Hold Hairspray for added hold.
  6. Pin the side of your hair with a bobby pin, ensuring that the hair on either side is not tucked behind the ear.
