Aveda Global Styling Director Allen Ruiz, who styled the hair at the Ann Yee Spring/Summer 2014 presentation on September 5, created what he referrs to as “urban street-style colliding with shiny, modern elegance.” This melds perfectly with Yee's collection, since she explains it is inspired by "the history of urban Detroit, Michigan—its current crumbling economic state, combined with an appreciation for the survivalist spirit of the city as it moves towards a transformation.
