Scott Cole's partner in crime—the dashing diva and fellow artistic director for Paul Mitchell Professional Hair Color Linda Yodice—was inspired by the colorful ’60s, when choreographer Bob Fosse was at the pinnacle of his jazz dance career.
“Like fashion that’s always glancing back before moving forward, Postmodern Jazz features cuts, colors and stylings that are rooted in classic ’60s beauty,” says Yodice. “In the true fashion spirit of that era, we matched the models’ colors to wefts and created ‘Sultry Sable,’ ‘Bashful Blond’ and ‘Refined Red’ color designs. We shot the first looks with matching colors and hairpieces as a tribute to ’60s classic upstyles. Then, we mixed up the colors to create contrast for a new take on ’60s glam. Our collection’s color simplicity [all but one coloration can be done in a single step] is what gives it its strength and dexterity—elements that echo today’s color ideals.”
