It's Oscar's Seas-yawn....

I love the Academy Awards! The fashion, the drama, the winners, the losers! But this year—I don't know if it was the rain or what—most of Oscar's hair looks were lackluster at best, and downright dull at worst. Within the first 20 minutes of the preshow, I was already bored with all the conventional updos. Arftully crafted? Yes. But inspiring, as befitting of such an event as the Academy Awards? Um, no. There were a few standouts in my opinion: I loved SJP's twisted updo, even though I saw one of Beauty Launchpad's tweeps refer to it as a pastry on her head. It was amazingly executed and over the top, but with class. Also, I thought Sandra Bullock's sleek, shiny mane with its severe diagonal part was gorgeous and suited her and her pink lip. (LOVED that too, btw! Yay for Sandy and Maggie!) But the weather probably did play a factor, especially after the Golden Globes faux pas. Hopefully next year, with El Nino a distant memory, so too will the ho-hum hairdos.
