Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner and Style Link Launch

Matrix heated up the frigid New York City night with Thursday’s sizzling sneak peek of the company’s latest offerings: Biolage Cleansing Conditioner, which launched in salons this month, and Matrix Style Link, debuting in April.

Chic guests and quirky celebs like Girls’ Zosia Mamet and theater star Frankie Grande converged at Soho’s Crosby Hotel to sip fruity cocktails or fresh juices boasting pomegranate and citrus, some of the ingredients found in the paraben-free conditioner. “This no-shampoo method of washing strands is completely revolutionary,” explained celeb stylist George Papanikolas, after fashioning Bethenny Frankel’s long dark locks. “I call it super food for hair.” Four unique formulas address the specific needs of each tress type, from fine to medium to coarse to curly.

A short film teasing upcoming collections also introduced attendees to Matrix Style Link, which includes 11 products with three boosters. The mantra here is “Mix it. Boost it. Share it.” Said Artistic Director Nick Stenson, “Users will be able to customize their own recipes to create a million different designs via dual-link technology that delivers superior styling results.” Bottom line: There’s no wrong way to use these items. Following the screening, exclusive stations manned by models with glossy tresses and white dresses (channeling spring!) brought the looks to life.
