You know that girl—the one who throws caution to the wind, chucks her Jimmy Choos and breaks loose dancing on tabletops? Well, Tibi designer Amy Smilovic knows her, too, and she creates the fun frocks that befit a fashionista that lives to pump up the volume. For spring/summer, Smilovic unveiled sweeping psychedelic-print sundresses, sweet eyelet shifts and disco-dandy gowns: all armor for the right-to-party girl.

A girl who closes clubs and high-profile fetes digs comfort combined with flash, and this same free-flowing style applies to her hair, of course! Who wants to worry about a tightly wound chignon while dirty dancing for hours on end? Alain Pichon, editorial stylist for Aveda and lead hair designer for Tibi’s show, whipped up the perfect mane for such a muse—a strong, center part and loads of easy texture. “I created a very natural, beautiful, healthy-looking style for the woman who plays up both the hair and outfit,” says Pichon.

Though not everyone can claim to be the life of the party, Pichon believes every woman can claim this hairstyle. “Women of all ages can wear this timeless look,” he says. “But she must be a woman who knows how to take care of herself and her hair.”

Score This Look

Pichon dried the bottom third of the hair smooth, and then loosely set the third and middle sections using a zigzag pattern. Flatness at the scalp was exaggerated by saturating the middle part with Volumizing Tonic. The same product was then applied to the top-section and lightly blown dry. After unfurling the waves, Aveda Brilliant Spray-On Shine was used for dazzling luster.
