Step 1: Hairline cut: Cut 5 fingers below the scalp using a zigzag method.
Perimeter cut: Position fingers as shown and chip into ends to create soft line.
Step 2: Cut the sides upwards toward the chin using the zigzag cutting technique
(go up to the jaw line).
Step 3: Fringe: Make a “V” line from the right temple to ¾ of the left eyebrow and point cut fringe.
Step 4: Comb crown section up and cut using a point cut method.
Chip the ends as shown.
Step 5: Layer in a forward diagonal from the top, moving the segment toward the face.
Step 6: Using diagonal divisions in the back, drop cut and snip on an incline to lengthen.
Step 7: Personalization: Go up from the layer area, starting from the left side.
Twist hair and lightly texture by only partly closing scissors as you move down the hair.
Step 8: Start to make a twist toward the center of the head.
Lightly texture by only partly closing scissors as you move down the hair.
Step 9: Repeat Step 8 on opposite side of the head.
Step 10: This will make an “S” on both sides.
Step 11: Make three triangular divisions on the crown with the point at the front.
Bring the sections up pulling toward the face, turn the hair and slide cut with scissors making upside down V’s.
