Hair News: Tricoci University of Beauty Culture Partners with Humane Society

Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is sending cosmetology and esthetics students from their Highland, Indiana campus to take part in an artistic animal-themed hair and style show at the Humane Society Calumet Area’s Hair of the Dog Gala (held at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville on February 28th, 2015). The students will have the honor of working alongside the national hairstylist pro, Ben Mollin, star of the reality show Shear Genius and owner of Ben Mollin Hair Education. They will use their beauty skills to transform one another into eccentric "animals" and show off their talented work during a fashion show at the gala.

The 12th annual Hair of the Dog Gala is in aid of the animals of the Humane Society Calumet Area and also includes a silent auction, delicious wines, cocktails, brews from Three Floyds Brewing and a buffet dinner.

According to Jill Marcodes, Executive Director of Cosmetology Education of Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, “This is always one of the highlights of the year for our Highland students. It’s not only an opportunity for them to unleash their super-creative talents – assisted by one of the industry’s top hairstylists, Ben Mollin - but it’s in support of an important cause.”

Tricoci University of Beauty Culture’s Highland campus offers programs in Cosmetology, Esthetics and Instructor Training and is located at 2549 Highway Avenue in Highland, Indiana. To purchase tickets for the Hair of the Dog Gala, please click here.
