John Paul DeJoria, CEO and co‐founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems®, and his wife, Eloise DeJoria, spokesmodel for Paul Mitchell®, aren't just stars of the beauty industry - they're taking on Hollywood as well with two exciting new upcoming films.
John Paul is Executive Producer of the film "Machete Kills," in theaters now. The film, directed by Robert Rodriguez, stars Antonio Banderas, Sofia Vergara, Mel Gibson and Cuba Gooding, Jr. and, according to John Paul, is "action packed from beginning to end." Though the film does have its fair share of violence, John Paul emphasizes that it is also "humorous at the same time." John Paul chose to get involved due to the fact that many of his friends, including the director, are also involved in the film.
Meanwhile, Eloise DeJoria will be starring alongside an impressive cast, including Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett and Harry Connick, Jr. in the upcoming holiday film, "Angels Sing." The film, in theaters this month, intrigued Eloise's interest because of it's "beautiful, heartfelt message." Eloise reveals that she was excited to get involved with the project because of her close, long-time friendship with Willie Nelson, who "gave me my first job as an actress in 'The Songwriter.'" "Angels Sing," directed by Tim McCanlies, is based on Turk Pipkin's classic Christmas story, "When Angels Sing," and is "great for the family," or simply to put you in the holiday spirit!
