CosmoProf's “Fashion Frenzy” contest is open to entries! Six finalists from the online competition will compete live on stage at the Intercoiffure Spring Symposium at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida for the chance to win a $500 CosmoProf shopping spree among other prizes.
“The competition is ComsoProf’s way of creating another opportunity for cosmetology students to showcase their talent, get exposure to top salons, and breeds the potential for apprenticeship,” says Tracy Pell, Director of Marketing. “We are hoping that this contest not only gives up and coming stars in the industry an opportunity to be mentored by industry icons, but also gives them their first chance to be recognized for their talent by other’s in the industry.”
Submit three shots of a hairstyle created on a mannequin head. From March 1st through March 22nd, online voting will take place. Six finalists will be selected to move onto the next round (Three from popular vote online, and three from CosmoProf team of judges.) The contest website will include videos from luminaries across the beauty industry offering words of encouragement and inspiration to the student competitor, including mentor Luis Alvarez of Aquage and many others.
The six finalists will blog about their contest preparation and entry and will showcase their work live at Intercoiffure for a chance to win the grand prize: a $500 CosmoProf gift card, a photoshoot with NAHA award winning Photographer Babak and Luis Alvarez Co-Founder of Aquage. The grand prize winner will also appear on the September cover of the CosmoProf Shoppping Guide.
