H2-Oh!

Runway Report: April, 2009It’s “gel and high water” on the runways, with wet looks drowning out the competition.

Trend Alert: Wet

Wet ‘n’ wild styles continue to flood the runways, with the most popular soaked look boasting heavily waterlogged strands at the top, sides and crown, with dry, cascading waves for the remaining length. More ingenious drenched ’dos take the form of saturated ponytails that corkscrew to glistening points (as seen at Emporio Armani); sleek knots dripping with sheen (at Rubin Singer); and soused, heavily textured updos (as seen at Prada). To dive into this trend, bathe locks in gallons of firm-hold gel and mold into shape. No raincoat required!
