Finalist in Partner Colorist: Daniel Rubin
Goldwell color experts recently announced this year’s 2014 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge US Finalists. Leading colorists from across the country sent in entries for one of the three Color Zoom Challenge Categories – Global Creative Colorist, Global New Talent Colorist, and Global Partner Colorist – around the theme of "Reallusion," color optical illusions.
In June, applicants were narrowed to just fifteen Semi-Finalists by a prestigious panel of industry experts. Following the Semi-Finalist round, the expert Goldwell Hair Care Global judges’ panel have now selected three standout U.S. Finalists, one for each category.
Congratulations to the newest 2014 U.S. Finalists: Creative Colorist Vivian Polimeni of Hair by Scott & Co, Florida; New Talent Colorist Katie Minalga of Theory Hair Salon, Montana; and Partner Colorist Daniel Rubin of Trio Salon, Illinois. These three National Finalist winners will have the honor of competing live on behalf of the United States in the 2014 Color Zoom International Competition. This hands-on color competition will take place in Berlin in October 2014, giving contestants the opportunity to prove their creativity against other Finalists from around the world to earn the ultimate Global title.

The Goldwell Hair Care team is also pleased to congratulate the runners-up in each category. This year’s Silver Finalists include: Lauren Kocman (Creative) of Hair by Scott & Co, Florida; Jacob Khan (New Talent) of Shearious Salon, Georgia; and Holly King (Partner) of Theory Salon, Montana. Bronze Finalists awards go to Colette Jones (Creative) of GiddyUp Salon & Spa, Washington; Johnny Kelly (New Talent) of Sivana Salon, New York; and Lee Bryan Trevino (Partner) of Cortello Salon, Florida.
