Jennifer Yepez, celebrity stylist, was responsible for Emily Ratajkowski's hair while at Cannes, and her work did not disappoint. Now she's sharing with us how to get the glam for your clients!
First, I prepped the hair with Honest Beauty Thickening Spray and Honest Beauty Heat Protectant Spray from root to ends. Then, using the T3 2.5” AntiGravity Barrel Brush, I began to blow dry with the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i Dryer from the back, making clean sections all the way up till all the hair was dry.
Following the blow dry, I used the T3 Twirl Convertible Curling Iron and waved 1- 1 1/2 inch sections, alternating the directions of the wave as I went.
Once all the hair was waved, I took a wide tooth comb and combed out all the hair to break up the wave. Then, I added Oribe texturizing spray to give it more texture.
Next, I gathered all of her hair towards the back of her neck and created a loose braid and secured with a clear elastic. After the braid was secured, I tied a black ribbon around the elastic. To finish the look, I used a light, flexible hairspray, like R&CO Outer Space hair spray.
PRO TIP: Make sure all your hair is not perfect! It's an undone look.
