Celebrity hairstylist Cervando Maldonado recently worked with Kirsten Dunst for the premiere of Unbroken on Monday, December 15th in Los Angeles, CA. Said Maldonado, "I wanted to create a soft, sleek chignon for Kirsten tonight." The result was a chic, low, twisted chignon that perfectly complemented Kirsten's romantic makeup.
Get the Look:
1. Said Maldonando, "Starting with naturally-dried, clean hair, I sectioned the hair and used a medium Ibiza Boar Bristle Brush and a Harry Josh Blow Dryer to smooth each section, starting from the bottom and moving to the top.
2. "Next, I created a middle part with a rat tail comb and raked a small amount of Osmo Clay Wax through the hair to create hold and shine, and to tame fly-aways.
3. "Next I pulled the hair behind the ears toward the nape of the neck, pinching it tight and wrapping a bungee style band around the hair, creating a low ponytail. I sprayed Klorane Dry Shampoo through the ponytail to absorb oil and create a blonder, slightly more matte look. I then took the end of the ponytail and wrapped the hair around the band to create the chignon and used bobby pins to hold it in place.
4. "I finished with Frederic Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray throughout the top and the chignon for both hold and shine.”
