Get the Look: Heather Graham's Faux Bob by Ted Gibson

Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson recently styled Heather Graham's look for the HORNS premiere in New York City. For her red carpet look, Gibson gave Graham a sexy faux bob with a touch of old Hollywood glamour. Says Gibson, "Tonight I had the pleasure of working with #gibsongirl Heather Graham for her new movie HORNS. Heather has never worn her hair short before, so it took a bit of work to convince her to take the risk with this look. As you can see, she loved it and worked the red carpet! Get the Look:
1. Says Gibson, "On wet hair I used Kerastase Resistance Volumactive Spray on the scalp and Kerastase Volumifique mousse on her hair for extra body. I also sprayed L’Oreal Professionnel’s Densite in her hair to thicken and lift her hair even more.

2. " With a small boar bristle round brush I started at the nape of her neck and blow dried her hair in 2-inch sections, working my way up to the top of her head. The trick to a successful ted gibson salon blow dry is sectioning!

3. "Next, I parted her hair in a deep side part. To achieve her retro wave, I curled her entire head using a marcel curling iron. This iron allows for an even curl pattern from scalp to ends and even heat distribution, which is essential to achieve this look. I then lightly brushed her hair out to soften the wave. Brushing hair after the entire head is curled makes this hot, sexy look modern and cool.

4. "To achieve the bob, I folded her hair to just under chin, pinning with a bobby pin to the underside of her hair to hold it in place. The trick is to pin the hair horizontally on the underside. Once her entire head was pinned into the bob, I finished with L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold to hold the bob in place."
