Celebrity hairstylist Brandan Robertson recently created a soft, beachy hairstyle for British singer/songwriter Ella Henderson for the 2014 American Music Awards. Get the step-by-step guide for creating this look below, and help your clients achieve naturally luxurious mermaid waves, just in time for the holidays!
Get the Look:
1. Beginning with damp hair, Brendan dried hair with the T3 Evolution LongLife Dryer to create volume at the roots.
2. Taking small sections of the hair and alternating directions with each section, Brendan used the 1.25-inch tapered barrel of the Whirl Trio Interchangeable Styling Wand, holding the hair on the iron for only a few seconds.
3. Once completed, Brendan then took random sections of hair and wrapped around the 1.5-inch straight barrel of the Whirl Trio Interchangeable Styling Wand, in order to achieve a multi-textured, natural, beachy look.
4. Ensuring that sections were not too curly, Brendan finished by using the T3 Fahrenheit 450 Flat Iron through the curliest pieces.
