Five Artistic Presentations Planned for the NAHA 2012 Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Resort, brings together beauty professionals from across the globe to celebrate the artistry and skill of professional hairstylists and makeup artists. In addition to announcing the winners of the 13 NAHA categories, the NAHA Awards Ceremony will feature five artistic presentations from some of the industry’s most celebrated stylists. Combining fashion, music, makeup and first-rate artistic hairstyles, the overall energy of the artistic presentations adds to the excitement of the NAHA Awards Ceremony.

The five artistic presentations include:

Eli Mancha, 2011 Hairstylist of the Year: The current title holder of NAHA’s top honor, Hairstylist of the Year, is invited to present an artistic presentation of his choosing. As a platform artist and educator in his own right, Mancha knows the artistry of hair. His high energy presentation will be themed Sinners & Saints.

P&G Salon Professional: Including the industry’s top young talent from some of the most celebrated brands, this artistic presentation will feature stylists representing the P&G Salon Professional brands. With high-energy and amazing creativity, this artistic presentation truly celebrates what NAHA is all about.

Cloud Nine Hair USA: Mixing high fashion with modern edge, Cloud Nine’s creative team will be showcasing looks from their newest collection while captivating the NAHA audience with one of their first runway shows in the United States.

Aveda: Featuring past NAHA winners and Aveda Artistic Directors, Janell Geason and Allen Ruiz, along with Aveda Artist Directors for Haircolor and Haircutting, Ian Michael Black and Richardo Dinis; these amazing stylists will mix cutting edge, couture style and high performance skill as Aveda takes sustainable, raw beauty into the future.

Tribute to Vidal Sassoon: To celebrate the life of the icon who has done so much to advance the art and profession of hairstyling, the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) has a special tribute planned that will honor Sassoon’s work and legacy.

In addition to the artistic presentations, the PBA Beautiful Humanitarian Award will be presented to renowned entertainment journalist and television personality Giuliana Rancic. Rancic will also serve as host of the NAHA Awards Ceremony.

For those not able to attend the event in person, www.hairdesignertv.com will broadcast the ceremony live via free streaming video. From the NAHA Red Carpet Reception through the entire Awards Ceremony, online viewers worldwide can take part in the excitement of NAHA.
