First Impressions

Samantha could have had a year to get ready—but nothing could have prepared her for her first client. “As soon as I got there, everything fell apart,” she relates, referring to the blonde who was very particular about her strands. “The round brush I was using to blow out her hair had color on it, and it put this horrible pinky-orange streak at the bottom of the hair. She freaked out! They [the producers] claim that really wasn’t set up, that it was just an accident. I don’t know—but I do know that her reaction was genuine.”
