Beauty News: Eufora Hosts First Annual Heroic Happy Hour for Veterans
Hair care brand Eufora recently hosted its first annual Beards and Brews event, a Heroic Happy Hour to honor veterans and active duty troops. Held at Eufora Headquarters, the special event offered complimentary haircuts and beard trims, courtesy of the San Diego education team. The night was filled with great hair-styling, good food, new friends and some killer music.

NYFW Get the Look: Glossy Hairstyles at Thakoon SS 2015
Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris created a glossy, just-out-of-the-water hair look for Thakoon's Spring 2015 presentation.STEPS: On dry hair, create a middle part, and apply an ample amount of Forme Fatale on the top of the head to mid-lengths for a wet look.   Add Kératine Thermique throughout the rest of the lengths and flat iron.

For the fourth season in a row, Redken Creative Consultant Guido created 60 custom wigs for the highly-anticipated Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2015 NYFW show. Working very closely with Marc Jacobs to complete his vision for the runway, Guido drew inspiration from the 70’s and 80’s to create a fantasy on the runway.

NYFW Get the Look: Feminine Meets Sporty at Koonhor by Adam Livermore
Designers Koon Lim and Catrine Thé of the rising Italian-made fashion label Koonhor managed to create pieces that are the perfect balance of androgyny and femininity yet again for Spring/Summer 2015. But they also showed off their sporty side with drawstring backpacks, high-concept visor caps and crewneck sweatshirts. To complement the collection, key hairstylist and Oribe Educator Adam Livermore created a look that “extends the artistic direction of exaggeration and contradiction."

“The Harare girl is young, chic and breezy and appreciates interesting textures,” explained Adam Livermore, Oribe Hair Care Educator and Key Hairstylist for designer Caroline Fuss’ Spring/Summer 2015 collection. These textures were apparent in the clothing’s tassel and fringe trims and macramé details. NYFW Get the Look: Double Braids at Ostwald Helgason by Ramona Eschbach
While prints and colors have been a longtime staple for the London-based fashion line Ostwald Helgason, the Spring/Summer 2015 collection exuded a utilitarian influence, which added structure to the all-over geometric patterns. To complement the uniform-inspired pieces, key hairstylist Ramona Eschbach for Oribe Hair Care decided to create a look that was “more severe” than what she’s done in past collaborations with the brand. The look was tight to the head and featured two braids visible only from the back.
