For Orange is the New Black star Taylor Schilling’s first Emmy appearance, hairstylist Ryan Trygstad took a style inspired by a beauty icon and gave it a modern twist. “We wanted a ‘70s Jerry Hall look for this dress,” he said. “We started with soft Hollywood waves, but made them a little more fluffy and airy. We wanted the style to feel loose and sexy.”
Get the Look:
1. Apply Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse to wet hair and blow dry with a small ceramic round brush to create movement and shine. “Grandiose adds a nice non-sticky volume,” Ryan said.
2. After blow-drying, line the roots with Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. “This gives lots of volume before curling,” he explained.
3. Spray sections of hair with Oribe Superfine Hair Spray and curl with an iron. Brush curls out for a loose, bouncy effect.
