Latino Fashion Week took place in Chicago recently on October 1-5, 2014, and a team of cosmetology students and instructors from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture got the chance to style the hair and makeup of the runway models.Student teams from Tricoci University’s Chicago Northeast and Northwest campuses worked alongside some of the beauty industry’s top salon professionals, as well as the fashion industry’s most talented Latino designers, to makeover the runway models with cutting-edge beauty looks.

We've all heard our fair share of rumors about the dangers of various ingredients and chemicals commonly found in beauty products. Award winning London stylist extraordinaire Neil Smith presented the Art of Technique at Eufora's International Leadership Conference on October 20th. Smith, whose work has been featured on magazine covers all over the world, guided guests through an interactive session offering editorial styling tips and anecdotes from his own experience. Neil encouraged stylists to get outside of their comfort zone and "not to be their own obstacle" in the path to success.

Michael's Salon model Amanda was interested in cutting bangs, but was afraid to make such a big change to her hair without first knowing what it would look like. Stylist Ashley O'Dell used clip-in bangs from the company "Xtensify" so Amanda could get the look of bangs before actually cutting her hair. She loved them so much that she bought her own.
