Celebrity stylist Johnny Wright recently joined ZuriWorks for Women’s Health at the Immortal Beloved Salon to launch the organization's new national cancer awareness campaign, "It’ll Grow Back: Big Chop to Stop Cancer." The campaign’s mission is to inspire black women and allies to help save lives. Wright, hairstylist to first lady Michelle Obama, is offering his services to local women getting a “big chop” in exchange for donations to ZuriWorks.

On Monday March 11th, 2013, George Gonzalez, HARPO celebrity hairstylist and owner of George the Salon Chicago, opened his doors and heart to the On Your Feet Foundation (OYFF) by donating his salon services and space to raise money for this nonprofit 501c3 organization. The OYFF is dedicated to providing personal support to birthparents to help them get "back on their feet" after making an adoption plan for their child.
Great Clips stylist, Juliana Lindsay, made one of the biggest cuts of her life this week. The President and CEO of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), John Lauck, got his head shaved at CMNH headquarters to follow through on a bet he made with the corporate staff last year. He said he would shave his head if they exceeded their 2012 fundraising goal of approximately $290 million.
