FHI Heat and Q104.7's DJ Crisco Kidd Host Hair Drive for Children with Cancer
Cancer remains the number one disease-related cause of childhood death. Each year, over 160,000 children are diagnosed and approximately 25% will not survive. This fall, FHI Heat, known for its Limited Edition irons will launch its Special Edition Childhood Cancer Awareness flat iron to raise funds for research and family support. FHI has also teamed up with SoCal’s Q104.7's DJ Crisco Kidd to host his third Hair-Drive.

The Awards Ceremony for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Resort, brings together beauty professionals from across the globe to celebrate the artistry and skill of professional hairstylists and makeup artists. In addition to announcing the winners of the 13 NAHA categories, the NAHA Awards Ceremony will feature five artistic presentations from some of the industry’s most celebrated stylists.

Douglas David, managing partner of Douglas Carroll Salon has announced that it will host and sponsor a cut-a-thon to raise money for stylist Eileen Coyne-Homsher, who fell ill with vasculitis and a bacterial lung infection. The event will take place on Sunday, June 24 at the Douglas Carroll Salon, located in Raleigh, NC with 30 minute appointments beginning at noon. Coyne-Homsher, a dedicated stylist who has been with Douglas Carroll for more than 10 years, fell ill in early February.
