OPI Products Inc., a subsidiary of COTY Inc., and Ford Motor Company today announced a unique collaboration featuring the iconic Ford Mustang. The popular pony car – celebrating its 50th anniversary in April – will serve as the inspiration for a line of OPI limited edition nail lacquers that will launch internationally in July.
OPI concluded its exciting New York Fashion Week season with Joie on February 12! Models wore Coney Island Cotton Candy on nails. This sheer, peachy nude complemented creative director Serge Azria’s moody Parisian aesthetic and added a fresh finishing touch to the Joie Fall/Winter 2014 collection, which featured cable knits, cashmere and a strong focus on outerwear.

This spring, OPI will debut their revolutionary Sheer Tints, the brand’s first-ever pigmented topcoats. Sheer Tints by OPI offers a fresh take on traditional topcoats with the introduction of four new vivid hues in blue, pink, yellow and purple. An infusion of transparent color with high shine, these topcoats can be worn alone, with a base coat for a playful sheer or layered over any shade to create an alternate finish for a new nail look.
OPI joined Assembly New York in presenting its fall/winter 2014 collection on February 10! To capture the designer’s minimalist modern Egyptian aesthetic, OPI manicurists buffed models’ nails to a high shine and added a black Swarovski crystal at the center of the cuticle line. OPI joined designer Lindsay Degen for the DEGEN Fall/Winter 2014 presentation at New York Fashion Week to create cute, fun manicures. Models wore short, squared tips featuring a blue sky/cloud nail design on all fingers except ring fingers, which were painted with a rainbow atop a chrome, glitter base. The designer selected this bold and colorful nail look to complement bright knits and reflective fabrics. The rainbow theme was continued throughout the clothing and an LED rainbow backdrop. OPI walked the runway with BCBGMAXAZRIA at the recent Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014. Models wore OPI's subtle nail lacquer "Passion" as a complement to the collection's warm, muted pastels. The overall result was soft, pretty, natural-looking nails.

The two companies will collaborate on a new line of miWorld™ play environments, including a miniature OPI nail salon. miWorld encourages girls to build and design their own OPI nail salon for an interactive experience.
OPI releases two new interactive digital platforms to support the launch of Gwen Stefani for OPI – a collaboration lookbook and an app. The lookbook is hosted at OPI.com/Gwen, where fans can follow the line’s journey from inspiration to execution.
