The Professional Beauty Association (PBA), producer of the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), announced renowned actor, author, entertainment journalist, producer and father Mario Lopez as the host of the 2013 NAHA Awards Ceremony.
Starting in 2013, NAHA competitors will be able to compete in the new "Men's Hairstylist of the Year" category. The "Men's Hairstylist of the Year" will honor a stylist who displays the most proficiency in the designs and techniques used in men's styling and grooming. Entrants in this category must master current men's commercial, contemporary and wearable styling trends.

The Awards Ceremony for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Resort, brings together beauty professionals from across the globe to celebrate the artistry and skill of professional hairstylists and makeup artists. In addition to announcing the winners of the 13 NAHA categories, the NAHA Awards Ceremony will feature five artistic presentations from some of the industry’s most celebrated stylists.
Redken stylist and winner of Redken’s Road to NAHA contest, Jasmine Gibbs of Jazz It Up NYC Salon in Brooklyn, NY, was selected as a NAHA 2012 finalist in the categories of New Comer of the Year and Texture! Throughout the Road to NAHA contest, Jasmine had the opportunity to be mentored by Redken’s Education Artistic Director and past NAHA Master Hairstylist of the Year, Kris Sorbie.
