The Fall 2016 Bridal Couture Collection from Ines Di Santo was all about soft, timeless beauty with inspiration drawn from the idea of "a silent garden." According to designer Leonora Carrington, "Dawn is the time when nothing breathes, the hour of silence. Everything is transfixed, only light moves."

To complement the romantic femininity of the collection, hairstylist and Artistic Director for Prive Salon by Laurent D, Jorge Luis used HairArt Clip-In Remy Hair Extensions to create "unpolished polish" in the form of air-dried, distressed waves, inspired by natural beauty and the concept of "the lightness of daylight" that was so central to the designer's vision. "We also wanted to work with several of the models’ own lengths as they came in with new, chin-length signature haircuts. They walked in off the street with the texture we wanted Jorge Luis to create,” said Deborah Moses, creative director of the show. As a result, Luis also added HairArt Clip-In Remy Extensions into some of the shorter cuts to fill in and further accent their texture.

Get the Look:

  1. Says Jorge Luis, “Starting at the crown and working my way down the sides and back of the hair, I used a thermal round brush and blow dryer to straighten the hair in sections while adding a touch of volume.
  2. “As each section was straightened, I sprayed it with Privé Finishing Texture Spray #89, to add frizz-free, soft texture, natural movement and weightless volume.
  3. “Once the hair was straightened, a part was created around the mid-back of the head from ear to ear, and HairArt Clip-In Remy Extensions were added to invisibly add length, volume and body. HairArt’s 100% Human Hair Extensions blended seamlessly with the models’ natural hair to add beautiful, healthy, silky shine.
  4. “A hidden speed advantage to working with extensions: they were straightened with a marcel iron before being applied to the models, saving styling time.
  5. “Some models also had HairArt Clip-In Remy Extensions added to their hair 1-2 inches above their ears, to add volume on the sides.
  6. “Working down on the sides from the mid-head I wrapped small vertical sections around a 1-inch marcel iron, and held them for 30-60 seconds to set large, loose curls.
  7. “I formed a clean center part from the forehead to the crown.
  8. “As a final touch, I applied a small drop of Privé Grooming Crème to my palms, and smoothed the hair from the part downward with my hands. Its lightweight formula helps create definition, smooth and reduce frizz.
  9. “To complete, I smoothed and loosened the curls into waves with my fingers, allowing them to flow down and frame the models’ faces for a romantic, soft mood and slightly carefree look.”
