As most of you are now aware, Matter of Trust (matteroftrust.org), a San Francisco-based environmental non-profit organization, has helped clean up oil spills since 1998 by reusing donated hair clippings from hair salons, barber shops, pet groomers, and wool farmers. These donated manes are stuffed into recycled nylon stockings, creating highly absorbent booms to help contain oil spills. Since the Gulf Coast oil spill began, the group has been coordinating efforts to collect donations in temporary warehousing along the coast.

Today, Ken Paves tweeted these pix of BFF Jessica Simpson and what appears to be her new, supershort pixie cut. I don't know, but I think it's a wig. Although I love the way it looks in the profile shot, not too sure about the head-on picture: She looks a little too like the pre-extension Kate Gosselin for my liking. What do you think? I don't know about most people, but no matter how late I was for my hair appointment, I wouldn't crash my car into a salon. I'm just sayin'. According to UPI.com, Marion Zock, 82, of Plainfield Township, Michigan, accidentally plowed her Ford Fusion into Classic Hair Design salon yesterday morning as she mistakenly stepped on the accelerator while trying to fit into a tight parking spot.

Camilla challenges our final 4 contestants with styling her hair. She was very particular about how she wanted them to approach her hair. She accused Matthew of not taking clean enough sections in the back of her head. We've all had this client before...the client with eyes in the back of their head. Brig does yet another style that has a ponytail structure, yawn. Janine doesn't impress Camilla with her blow dry technique but the end result of her style is great. Jon burns Camilla, not good.

Me and my son, James, in Malibu last year. Check out my beautiful windswept locks! As an editor, I'm used to working months in advance, which has its pros and cons. It's great to get a sneak peek at what trends I can expect, but that's just it—I have to WAIT. I get Holiday Fever...in August. I can't wait for autumn, even though it's June. And I'm itching to hit the beach in March.
