Coming back to work after the holiday rush always makes me think about the past year: did I make more money? Did I grow my business? Did I achieve any of my goals? If you just heard a little voice ask: “What goals?” - pull up a chair, we need to talk.
When we were young our parents were forever telling us not to talk to strangers. With the advent of social networking it seems that that's all youngsters ever do these days. We’re not talking about creepy chat rooms, we’re talking about the popularity of blogging and micro-blogging, which is (maybe?) a bit more acceptable. Of late, it’s mostly Tumblr that’s got the kids excited, with news half way through 2013 that they were abandoning Facebook and, to a lesser degree, Twitter in droves in favor of the blogging platform.

We all look forward to going on vacation. But the last minute preparations can be stressful. It's happened to all of us. Sadly, most of us end up searching the Internet like a madwoman upon arriving to our destination. The holidays are my favorite time of hair! This is the season when soirées, fêtes and festive get-togethers abound. It is also the season when our guests are more inclined to ask you to mix it up a bit and create a stunning style for the company party or another fabulous party.
I love having a couple of go-to styles for the holiday season. Whether I’m at a show, behind the chair or a family member or friend asks me to do their hair, having a style I can create on the spot and do well makes life so much easier and makes the holidays shine for me.
When going from brunette to blonde, it is very important to analyze the condition of the hair. Determine if the hair is in a fragile state or healthy. This all determines the correct process and steps to take.Depending on if the hair is artificially colored or not will also determine the appropriate process.Use a very gentle bleach on the hair if previously colored. I recommend Schwarzkopf Professional Blonde Me. Blonde Me can lift up to 9 levels, and does so all the while taking care of the hair.

During winter time, most of our clients like to wear a darker color - even blondes out there may wish to deepen their color, and it’s certainly preferable. It’s just more of a natural appearance to have brighter color when it’s really sunny outside during the warmer months, and a richer, deeper tone when it’s gets colder. Often a reddish tone is a lovely choice to add into color during winter time – again, both to blondes or to light brunettes – if the skin tone can carry it.
