Friends and Helpers program provides women and children in local domestic violence homes and shelters with a happy holiday with gifts, personal items, toys, gift cards, coupons for food and more.
Friends and Helpers board member Marie Ferro reached out to beauty companies to donate products for the December 7th event. Participating companies included Malibu C, The Body Shop, Colorproof, Phyto, Goldwell, KMS, Matrix, and Launchpad with gift baskets to be raffled off at a silent auction. Every penny of the money raised goes to buying much needed supplies for the women and children in need. Fifteen hundred beauty bags were assembled that will go directly to women in need. The beauty bags include shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, socks and many more personal hygiene items. Several thousand individuals and families were given wrapped gifts to brighten up their holiday.
