Barbers' Walkin Software Stops Clients Walking Out

Barbers looking for a way to manage busy Saturday morning queues will rejoice at the latest self check-in technology released by Shortcuts Software. With its newest addition, Shortcuts has taken the agony out of queuing by making it possible for clients to check themselves in online before they arrive, and track their wait-times on a revolutionary real-time integrated wallboard. As well as online check-in, Shortcuts also allows guests to sign in via a tablet or PC in the waiting-area, serving as a virtual receptionist.

These latest developments come as enhancements to the Shortcuts Walkin Manager tool – the central software hub which tracks everything from wait-times to walk-aways and staff availability in one screen. Shortcuts CEO Paul Tate said the explosion of the male market in the US has driven continued development of the Walkin Manager product. "As the male-market gains traction in North America, developing features that meet the needs of this niche has become a focus for us. Male-centric businesses have their own requirements - there is a heavy focus on speed, efficiency and a unique customer experience," said Paul. "Features like self check-in allow barbers to set their business apart by making themselves more convenient and accessible than the competition. It’s a retention tool as much as a hook for attracting new clients."

Comprehensive and designed specifically for the walk-in environment, Shortcuts Walkin also includes everything from point of sale through to ratings & reviews, automated marketing, a business reporting dashboard and more.
