Anne Hathaway at the 2014 Academy Awards; Hair by Adir Abergel
g return to the Oscar ceremonies as a presenter this year. Anne glistened on stage in a black columned Gucci gown with gemstone embellishments on top. Inspired by the high neck and clean lines of the dress, Hathaway's hairstylist, Adir Abergel, created a swept-back modern coif that completed her effortlessly chic look.
To create the look, Adir prepped Hathaway's strands with Maximista Thickening Spray. "This created the perfect foundation," Adir said. "It's an important step in building the right structure." He then applied a styling cream and blew-dry her hair quickly with a diffuser, sculpting the style into place with his hands. Once the hair was completely dry, he used a 1/2-inch curling iron to add bend to the ends and create separation. To finish the look, Adir misted the style with Imperméable Anti Humidity Spray to shield Anne's hair from the LA weather and lock in the look.
