2014 Golden Globes Beauty: Tatiana Maslany's Modern Faux-Bob

At last night's 2014 Golden Globe Awards, celebrity stylist Rod Ortega created a soft, romantic faux-bob for actress Tatiana Maslany. Inspired by Greta Garbo and the old Hollywood of the late 1930's, Ortega put a modern spin on the vintage look. The overall effect was chic and glamorous.

Get the Look:
1. To prep Maslany's hair, Ortega began by blow drying with the T3 Evolution LongLife Dryer and T3 Anti-Gravity 2.5” Barrel Brush to smooth out, but still maintain body and texture.

2. He then divided Maslany's hair into 3 sections and began curling with the T3 SinglePass 1.25” Twirl Curling Iron in ½ inch sections. Once complete, he spritzed the hair with fine hair spray and let the curls cool.

3. Once curls were cooled, Ortega used the T3 Freeflow Vent Brush to brush them out and create full-bodied waves.

4. He then took sections of the hair, teasing, rolling and tucking under, securing with hair pins to create a faux-bob.
