Fashion On Demand
Check out fall fashion hairstyles from behind the scenes at some of the hottest runway shows.
Watch this! The French Fringe, edgy bob, natural texture and brunettes are the hottest looks of the season for designers like Marc Jacobs, Prada, Calvin Klein and Luella Bartley. The Redken and Vogue Fall Trend Report online series takes you behind the scenes to show you how these runway looks can become your newest salon sensations.
The looks you’ll see on the Redken/Vogue On-Demand Series are meant to inspire thought rather than dictate a rigid new style. “Our intention is to stimulate you, as an artist, to take hair in a whole new direction,” says Rodney Cutler, the stylist behind this revolutionary podcast. “For the edgy bob, for instance, we don’t tell you how to do the haircut in a step-by-step fashion, but we do show you one of the beautiful shapes and interior texture designs that can be created with shorter hair. It’s essentially a timeless repackaging of the original bob and one that you can run into your own classic style. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the French Fringe is all about creating a strong shape and silhouette on long hair, something that traditionally necessitates a drastic cut.”
Never signed up for a video podcast before? No problem. A video podcast is like an episode of a TV show that you can watch on your computer or video MP3 player. All you need in order to view the Redken/Vogue On-Demand series is an Internet connection and podcast software, which is usually available free of charge from iTunes, Yahoo and other sources. Redken episodes are available through November 2006.
Redken/Vogue podcast subscriptions are currently free and allow you to receive the episodes automatically as they are released, or to view them when it’s convenient for you. To subscribe, go to www.redken.com and click on NYC Style.
