A Cut Above

Stylists who want to stay on the cutting-edge of fashion trends can find fresh inspiration on Cutler Salon’s website.

Rodney Cutler, owner of Cutler SoHo and Cutler Salon on 57th Street in New York, created a new salon website, www.cutlersalon.com, two years ago to be an extension of the Cutler brand. “We wanted to create a website that provided the visitor with a visual journey and let our clients experience the brand, from our services, products and collections to our extensive educational program,” says Cutler.

The home page is simple and modern in design, in line with the company’s brand image, and provides links to services offered at the salon, job opportunities, hair trend collections and editorial mentions.

Education is key at all Cutler salons, so it’s no wonder one of the main focal points of the website is the Education page. Stylists can get information about upcoming education seminars as well as learn the secrets behind the looks from the best editorial stylists. Cutler says the site is a true representation of his brand and gives visitors a sense of the company’s direct link to fashion. Runway looks created by Cutler stylists for Olympus Fashion Week in New York are showcased on the In the Spotlight page under Shows & Events. Meanwhile, the Collections Spring/Summer page offers stylists a sneak peek at upcoming fashion and style trends.

What’s more, the information on the site summarizes the Cutler brand philosophy and clarifies how the company synergistically ties everything together. Twice a year the highly respected team of editorial stylists on staff takes the time to offer other Cutler stylists behind-the-scenes stories in order to inspire innovation and develop a fashion sense at the salon.

“Our mission is not to compete with other sites but to provide the visitor with a true representation of who we are. If done successfully, we are a step ahead,” says Cutler.
